Buffalo Bills 7-round 2021 NFL mock draft: Upgrading the rushing attack

Buffalo Bills mock draft: Round 2, 61st overall
Tight end is a position the Buffalo Bills have already stated they want to upgrade this offseason. General manager Brandon Bean stated at his end-of-the-year press conference that this is a position the team never really got right. Overall, Buffalo’s tight ends only accounted for 42 receptions for 458 yards over the past season. Luckily for the Bills, there are several tight ends in the 2021 NFL Draft who carry a second-round grade.
One of these players is Penn State’s Pat Freiermuth, who despite only playing in four games, accounted for 23 receptions for 310 yards in 2020. He also holds the school record for touchdowns from a tight end with 16 and has over 1,000 yards receiving in his career. As a prospect, Freiermuth is a complete tight end who can help out as a blocker and as a receiver.
If Pat Freiermuth is gone by the time the Buffalo Bills pick in the second round, Boston College’s Hunter Long or Miami’s Brevin Jordan would also make sense. It would not be a surprise if the team took more than one tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft, or signed an established player in free agency and drafted one later in the draft.
