Edge. 6. 46. Scouting Report. Ohio State. Jonathon Cooper. player. Pick Analysis

With Justin Houston and Denico Autry set to be free agents, it’s just the aforementioned Turay and Banogu on the edge right now for the Indianapolis Colts. After adding Jordan Smith earlier, it’s back to the well for Ballard and company here, as they select Ohio State’s Jonathon Cooper.

Cooper was another who attended the Senior Bowl in January, and while he wasn’t one of the big winners, teams should have come away impressed enough to target him on day three of the 2021 NFL Draft. Cooper does a lot of the dirty work on the edge, using his hands and good leverage to hold the point of attack and trim the edge to the quarterback. He’d be a great developmental option this late.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Lousiville. Dez Fitzpatrick. 7. player. 46

Rounding out the mock draft for the Indianapolis Colts is yet another receiver. After Michael Pittman Jr., Parris Campbell, and now Dyami Brown (in this mock), finding a fourth will help out the depth and consistency of the corps.

Will it be Dezmon Patmon? Maybe it’ll be Quartney Davis? Let’s throw in Dez Fitzpatrick into the mix, who has good size and hands for the position. He isn’t super dynamic, but he’s a consistent separator on short routes and can be a productive possession receiver at the next level. He gets a chance to do that in Indy here.
