The secondary of the Detroit Lions can be summed up in one word and that word is underachieving. 2020 first-round pick Jeff Okudah had his struggles this year as did 2019 free-agent pickup Justin Coleman. The lack of success from these players led to the Lions being given the worst coverage grade in the NFL by Pro Football Focus. With the pickup of Molden, the team gets a player who can start from day one as a nickel cornerback.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 42nd overall

USC. 42. player. 31. Pick Analysis. DT. Jay Tufele. Scouting Report

While the New York Giants had a very solid defense in 2020, they could lose some key players this offseason as Leonard Williams, Dalvin Tomlinson and Kyler Fackrell are all free agents. The team will likely look to replace at least one of these players in the 2021 NFL Draft. A player who could be looked at as a replacement is Jay Tufele, as he has the versatility to play either nose tackle or defensive end in the Giant’s system.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 43rd overall

Pick Analysis. player. 42. Scouting Report. OT. Oklahoma State. Teven Jenkins. 43

One of the weakest positions on the 49ers last year was right guard, and this is a position the team will likely address in the 2021 NFL Draft. A player the 49ers would love to be available at this spot is Oklahoma State’s Teven Jenkins. Jenkins shows outstanding strength in the run game. He is still developing as a pass blocker but shows the ability to become solid in this area especially if he moves to guard and doesn’t stay at tackle.

2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 44th overall

Scouting Report. TCU. Trevon Moehrig. 123. Pick Analysis. S. 44. player

This will be the second time the Cowboys address their secondary as they took Caleb Farley with the 10th overall pick earlier in this mock draft. With their second-round pick, the Cowboys decide to add a ball hawk safety in TCU’s Trevon Moehrig. Over the past two seasons, Moehring has accounted for six interceptions and 20 pass breakups which is the type of production Dallas’s secondary needs.
