2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 15th overall

Pick Analysis. Kyle Pitts. 15. player. Scouting Report. TE. Florida. 47

The New England Patriots get the steal of the draft in this mock draft as they select Florida tight end Kyle Pitts with the 15th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. This move would make sense for a couple of reasons with the first being the tremendous value they would be getting with this selection. Pitts is an amazing athlete for someone his size and is by far the best tight end in the draft.

This move would also make sense as New England lacked production at this position last year, despite spending two draft picks on it in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Patriots leading tight end last year was Ryan Izzo who only had 13 catches on the year. New England also ranked dead last in receptions from this position in 2020, as their tight ends only caught a combined 18 passes.

This production would skyrocket if Kyle Pitts was brought into the fold. This is due to the fact one of the more creative offensive minds in the NFL is Josh McDaniels and he would line Pitts up all over the field. Plus, McDaniels has a good history of finding ways to get his tight end the ball as he did with Rob Gronkowski.
