2021 NFL Draft: Alabama sets first-round pick record in 2-round mock draft

2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 14th overall
If the Minnesota Vikings are going to push for a playoff spot next year they must improve their defense. Last season, the Vikings ranked 29th in points per game on defense allowing 29.7 points. One of the biggest issues for the Viking’s defense was a lack of pass rush as they only averaged 1.4 sacks a game which ranked 28th in the league. To top that off they also traded their most productive pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue to the Baltimore Ravens.
Due to this need to get a pass rush the team would be wise to take Miami defensive end, Gregory Rousseau with the 14th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Rousseau has been one of the most productive players in college football when he has actually been on the field as he registered 15.5 sacks in 2019. As a pass rusher, he shows an outstanding burst off the line of scrimmage and overall athletic ability.
I would look for Gregory Rousseau to make an impact with the Vikings right away as a pass rusher. He might only be a situational pass rusher at first though as he lacks great strength against the run, and is still working on how to get off blocks.
