Round 4, 139th overall

Sage Surratt. player. 889. Scouting Report. WR. Wake Forest. 4. Pick Analysis

Sage Surratt is a smooth and physical football player who releases off of the line of scrimmage well and has a knack for coming down with the ball in contested-catch situations. Surratt leaves plenty to be desired as a raw athlete, but he is smooth in and out of his breaks and understands how to find holes against zone coverage.

Overall, Surratt is a big and physical wide receiver prospect who displays high football IQ, fantastic hands and solid run-after-catch ability. The New England Patriots ask a lot out of their wide receivers mentally and Surratt has the rare football IQ needed to handle their responsibilities early. He may not be the most explosive wide receiver prospect around, but Surratt feels like a strong fit for the Pats and a good value pick in this range.

Round 4, 145th overall

player. 817. Pick Analysis. LSU. JaCoby Stevens. Scouting Report. S. 4

When it comes to raw speed and athleticism, JaCoby Stevens leaves plenty to be desired. He is not the kind of safety prospect who is to be trusted with any sort of deep zone coverage responsibility. That being said, he is an extremely tough and physical football player who always seems to be around the ball and can certainly make an impact at the next level.

Stevens displays high football IQ, is a reliable tackler in space and shows solid ability in short zone coverage. At worst, his skills translate well to special teams at the next level but he could certainly grow into an impact box safety as well. Stevens is a tough and smart football player who will likely have special teams value at the next level. He sure sounds like a guy who the Patriots will target.

Round 5, 159th overall

CB. Benjamin St-Juste. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Minnesota. 852

Benjamin St-Juste is an extremely long cornerback prospect who displays impressive natural ball skills on the outside. He lacks ideal speed and quickness at the cornerback position, but as long as he is protected over-the-top, it is easy to see how St-Juste can be an impact cornerback at the next level.

Cornerback is not a massive area of need for the New England Patriots, but St-Juste is an interesting prospect who is worth taking a shot on in this range.
