Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Caleb Farley. 9. 45. Cornerback. Virginia Tech. player

The Denver Broncos are a team on the cusp of contending in the AFC. A few more pieces need to fall into place for it to happen, and the 2021 NFL Draft is the place to do it. After cutting corner A.J. Bouye, the need at corner continues to stand out.

Head coach Vic Fangio is particular about his corners, and Virginia Tech’s Caleb Farley is the selection here at nine overall. Farley opted out of the 2020 season, and while he’s still relatively new to the position (just two years played at cornerback), his ability lands him in the top 10. He’s excellent in man coverage and tough as nails at the catch point. Farley needs work in zone coverage, but his potential is sky-high.

Offensive Tackle. 10. player. Scouting Report. Virginia Tech. Christian Darrisaw. 123. Pick Analysis

With both top corners off the board, the Dallas Cowboys make the switch to best player available in the 2021 NFL Draft. While Tyron Smith and La’El Collins are set at the bookends right now, the offensive line could use a bit more work. They could opt to move Collins inside and draft Virginia Tech’s Christian Darrisaw.

Darrisaw is a road grader in the run game and has elite size and strength for the position. He’s impressive out in space for his size and is an elite finisher. His hand usage and balance in pass protection are both very good, and he should have no problem starting at tackle for the Cowboys right away.
