2021 NFL Draft: Panthers trade up, QBs go early in 2021 NFL mock draft
The Jacksonville Jaguars are back on the clock in round one, and there are two needs that come to mind. Offensive line could be the direction of this pick, but bringing back Cam Robinson might erase a little doubt about the unit protecting Trevor Lawrence. The other area that needs work is the secondary, specifically the safety spot.
The 2021 NFL Draft might not be the best crop of safeties, but Trevon Moehrig is one worthy of a first-round selection. This pick might be getting old for readers, but it’s one that makes too much sense. Moehrig has the versatility to play single high, in a deep half, or in the box. He can make an impact right away for Jacksonville.
The Cleveland Browns are a team on the rise after their first season under head coach Kevin Stefanski. Baker Mayfield had a bounce-back year, and the defense improved as well. They kept pace with the AFC Champions and are in a position to take the next step.
The secondary is the biggest need for this team, and a corner opposite Denzel Ward is something the Browns should focus on in the 2021 NFL Draft. Ifeatu Melionfwu has the size and physical nature to be a perfect complement, and his toughness and click/close ability are excellent.
