2021 NFL Draft: Panthers trade up, QBs go early in 2021 NFL mock draft
The Washington Football Team, like a few teams still left to pick in this 2021 mock, will be active in the quarterback market. Could this be where Mac Jones comes off the board? Possibly, but there’s a lot that could change before then. Heck, even Taylor Heinecke could win the job for 2021.
Instead, they opt for another threat in the passing game. Terry McLaurin has established himself as a WR1, but someone could take the pressure off of him. Kadarius Toney is a very good route runner with elite ability after the catch and very good contact balance. Whoever takes up the quarterback mantle in Washington will have plenty to work with.
The Chicago Bears are another team looking into the quarterback market and are in talks to acquire Carson Wentz. If it falls through, it’s another year to see if Mitchell Trubisky is the answer. If the belief is indeed still there, surrounding him with enough on offense is the way to go.
The bookends for the Bears are the biggest weakness on offense, and with a deep tackle class, this is the way to go in round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft. Samuel Cosmi is an athletic tackle with plenty of upside who could start from day one.
