The Falcons are bringing in a head coach in Arthur Smith who will undoubtedly want to make long-term investments in the offensive line.

Especially because the Falcons, in this case, are bringing in a young quarterback with their top pick, and under Smith are going to be emphasizing the run.

They will have the opportunity in the first couple of rounds to make upgrades on the line starting with the fourth pick where they will almost undoubtedly give serious consideration to Oregon offensive tackle Penei Sewell.

The top of the second round could also be a hot spot for offensive tackles to come off the board, but there will be ample opportunity throughout all three days of the 2021 NFL Draft to find tackles worth developing.

One extremely intriguing prospect is Cincinnati’s James Hudson, a converted defensive lineman and former Michigan transfer who has tremendous talent but is going to require some serious seasoning.

As he has grown in his craft, Hudson has proven he is more than capable of physically dominating defenders. The raw talent is there, the exciting reps on tape are there, and if the Falcons are patient, they could have a long-term starter on their hands.
