Coming into the New York Jets offense, Zach Wilson won’t have the same vast array of aerial targets standing beside the other quarterback selected within the 2021 NFL draft. Currently sporting slot-receiver Jamison Crowder and athletic phenoms Perriman and Mims, the New York Jets desire an element of consistency on the exterior to elevate their passing game.

Limited in his route-tree at Oklahoma State, Tylan Wallace is a dominant hands-first receiver who has proven to be one of the best one-on-one playmakers at the point of the catch. Utilizing an aggressive approach to jump balls and the ability to determine leverage in coverage, Wallace has the chance to prove he is much more than a boundary threat in the NFL.

At six-foot-flat, Wallace has also shown to be a consistent short-yardage receiver with his strong hands and instant separation from the line of scrimmage, offering a Michael Thomas-like element of slant-production which would be a welcome aid to Wilson as he calibrates his game to the speed of the NFL.

Also willing to put his head down for dirty-yardage after the catch, Wallace is. a gritty wideout destined to become a fan-favorite.

player. 30. TE. 98. Boston College. Hunter Long. Scouting Report. College Stats

Potentially one of the most slept-on prospects of the 2021 NFL draft class, Boston College tight end Hunter Long is a quarterback-friendly target at six-foot-five with an innate understanding of how to open passing lanes for his quarterback.

Already providing an oversized frame with the ability to catch the ball away from his body, Long time and time again would stem his route upfield in an effort to open windows for his pressured quarterback.

Entering the NFL likely as a safety-blanket target for his young quarterback, Long has the potential to become a receptions leader within the Jets organization in his rookie campaign if given the opportunity to lead a position group that has lacked any sort of imposing talent for an unforgivably long time.

Long is also an effective run-blocker who can seal the weak side as well as drive edge defenders off of the line of scrimmage. Still only weighing in at 253-pounds, Long could develop into a premier run-blocker at the tight end position by adding some muscle to his frame.
