It is certainly tempting to immediately give the Jacksonville Jaguars an offensive weapon to pair with new star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. That being said, Jaycee Horn stands out as one of the best players on the board and cornerback is an obvious need for this team.

Horn has great bloodlines, as he is the son of former NFL star wide receiver Joe Horn. Listed at 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, the younger Horn has great size at the cornerback position. He is a long and aggressive cornerback prospect who shines in press coverage at the line of scrimmage.

Horn is a feisty competitor who uses his length well to make life difficult on opposing receivers and consistently showed fantastic ball skills this past season. The Jaguars invested in the cornerback position last offseason when they took CJ Henderson at No. 9 overall. Henderson has the potential to be a true number one corner for the Jags and Horn would be a fantastic running mate.

While Horn’s physicality certainly helps him in coverage, he does tend to get a little grabby at times. This could give him trouble at the next level where NFL officiating tends to be a little tighter. That being said, Horn is an extremely gifted player who will just need to learn to adapt to the NFL. Pairing Horn with Henderson would give the Jags one of the best young cornerback duos in the league. In today’s pass-happy league, that is obviously incredibly valuable.
