Despite moving back three spots in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, the New England Patriots still find a potential solution to their offensive woes with one of Kyle Trask’s favorite weapons. Operating as the explosive threat in the Florida offense, Kadarius Toney showed his raw speed and ability to translate such quickness into ankle-breaking route-running at the senior bowl.

With a wide receiver group currently led by Jakobi Meyers, the New England Patriots need to find weapons for Jimmy Garoppolo fast. Former first-round selection N’Keal Harry has failed to live up to expectations and there is little else to speak of within the position group. Toney brings a big-play dynamic to the roster that Belichick has been lacking since Rob Gronkowski.

Pick Analysis. IOL. USC. player. 58. Scouting Report. Alijah Vera-Tucker. 19

Following the present postseason surprise that was quarterback Taylor Heinicke and rumors of pursuing a veteran option or the position, the Washington Football Team seems to be out of the running for a quarterback in the 2021 NFL draft. This leaves them to solve their issues along the offensive line which were exposed by a dominant Tampa Bay defensive line.

Potentially the only offensive line prospect in the 2021 NFL draft who can rival the versatility of Northwestern’s Rashawn Slater, Alijah Vera-Tucker has started at both guard and tackle for the Trojans. Technically sound at both positions and a college resume to prove it, Vera-Tucker will be able to supplement at both left tackle and guard in place of Cornelius Lucas and Wes Schweitzer.

Scouting Report. WR. 20. player. College Stats. Minnesota. Rashod Bateman. 57

With lead wide receiver Allen Robinson already announcing his intent to test the open waters of free agency, all fingers have pointed to 2021 NFL draft prospect Rashod Bateman to be his direct replacement in Chicago. Possessing comparable athleticism and providing an element of consistency within the Minnesota passing offense, Bateman is a conventional X-receiver who will be able to translate to the NFL solely based on his ability to create short-yardage separation.

Potentially bringing back Mitchell Trubisky for one more year before deciding to move onto a rookie quarterback, Bateman would be a welcome addition to a Chicago offense demanding a presence of consistency. Alongside rookie standout Darnell Mooney, Chicago could have a suitable receiving group for Trubisky even with the loss of Robinson.
