2021 NFL Draft: Round 3, 76th overall

Elijah Moore. 3. player. 841. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Ole Miss

In Terry McLaurin, Washington has a true number one receiver on the roster who should be able to continue to be an impact player in the passing game. McLaurin is great, but Washington’s lack of depth at the wide receiver position is obvious. The position stands out as a clear position of need for the Washington Football Team and they find an opportunity to address that need here in the third round.

Elijah Moore thrived in Lane Kiffin’s offensive attack this past season at Ole Miss, hauling in 86 receptions for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns in only eight games. He was a consistent playmaker for the team, showing the ability to easily separate from man coverage with smooth and precise route running. Moore also shows explosive deep speed and tracks the ball in the air extremely well.

The Ole Miss product is a great deep threat who has shown the ability to make big plays out of the slot. However, do not sleep on his ability to create after the catch. Moore does a great job of creating after the catch, showing fantastic short-area quickness, good contact balance for a wide receiver and tremendous natural elusiveness.

Simply put, Moore is a slippery and explosive wide receiver prospect who has a bright future at the next level. If Moore can hit his ceiling in Washington, this team would have an incredibly exciting young duo of playmakers at the wide receiver position.
