2021 NFL Draft: Round 2, 51st overall

Pick Analysis. OT. Dillon Radunz. 58. Scouting Report. North Dakota State. 2. player

As a whole, the Washington Football Team has put together a strong offensive line that should be taken seriously as a strength of this team. Re-signing their starting right guard and best offensive lineman Brandon Scherff is obviously important this offseason, but if Washington can get Scherff back into the fold, they should be in good shape up front. That being said, this team still has a glaring hole at the left tackle position.

In the second round of this 2021 NFL Draft scenario, the Washington Football Team adds North Dakota State offensive tackle Dillon Radunz to the mix. Radunz is a fantastic run blocker who moves extremely well in space and shows fantastic natural power at the point of attack. He can maul defenders in the run game and shows a great job of getting out in space and making blocks at the second level.

Radunz did struggle at times in pass protection during the 2019 season, which caused many to question him as a legitimate top-tier 2021 NFL Draft prospect. While Radunz did not have much of an opportunity to question those doubters during the 2020 season, he did play well at the Senior Bowl, which is a great sign. Radunz was impressive in 1v1s during Senior Bowl week and likely established himself as a worthy prospect to be taken in this range.

If the Washington Football Team can re-sign Scherff and add a possible long-term starting left tackle like Radunz to the mix this offseason, their offensive line group will be in great shape going forward.
