2021 NFL Draft: 11th pick

EDGE. player. 31. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Michigan. Kwity Paye. 11

The New York Giants somehow found themselves in the mix for the playoffs in 2020 despite being one of the league’s worst teams offensively (31st in scoring offense).

Daniel Jones had some injuries in year two and it didn’t help, obviously, for this team to not have its superstar Saquon Barkley.

Leonard Williams, Dexter Lawrence, and Dalvin Tomlinson have really emerged for this Giants team as building blocks and there is no question that they should consider adding to an area of strength atop the 2021 NFL Draft.

Head coach Joe Judge comes from the New England Program where versatility is a prerequisite, and Kwity Paye is the kind of defensive line/edge player that would typically attract New England or a team with Belichick in its DNA.

Paye is explosive and quick off the ball, and his physical tools will be enticing for any NFL decision-maker.

With this player, you’re buying into the person Paye is with his tremendous work ethic and background, not just his physical gifts. He’s got a very high ceiling and even though he’s not the most refined product at this point in time, he could make a lot of explosive plays with the other talented guys on New York’s defensive front.
