The 2021 NFL offseason is going to be dominated by what could feel like constant quarterback movement. The ripple effects in the 2021 NFL Draft will be massive.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter recently posted that he thought there could be more than 18 quarterbacks changing teams in the 2021 offseason.

Realistically, which teams could be making a change at quarterback?

Jacksonville, New York Jets, Houston, Carolina, Chicago, New Orleans, New England, San Francisco, Denver, and plenty of others will be in the market.

Two of those moves have already happened with the huge trade going down between the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions swapping Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford.

What will be the next dominoes to fall? Which quarterbacks are moving cities in 2021? That will be the theme of the 2021 offseason and the 2021 NFL Draft will follow.

Let’s take a look at a scenario before Super Bowl LV with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers with some (maybe crazy) scenarios of trades and player movement that could ultimately end up going down between now and late April.

2021 NFL Draft: 1st pick

Clemson. Trevor Lawrence. 52. Scouting Report. QB. Pick Analysis. 1. player

There should not be a ton of intrigue with this selection.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are under new management with GM Trent Baalke (formerly of the 49ers) and head coach Urban Meyer, who came out of retirement to take this job.

It’s hard to imagine Meyer would come out of retirement for this job with a different player in mind with this selection.

The Jaguars have a rare opportunity to build backward from the 2021 NFL Draft, knowing there is really no question about who they will be taking with that first pick and that could factor into every free agent negotiation and decision they make otherwise.

Lawrence is set to undergo an operation on his non-throwing shoulder but should be ready to go for training camp.

Considered a top NFL prospect since his high school days, Lawrence has been awesome for the Clemson program the past three years, showing tremendous growth as a player and leader along the way. He has been the projected top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft for over three years now and the Jaguars earned the right to claim him as their prize for a dreadful 2020 season.
