Denver Broncos 2021 mock draft: Day three picks

6. Cameron Mcgrone, LB, Michigan

Upside, upside, upside.

Although Cameron Mcgrone doesn’t even have two full years of experience with the Wolverines, his upside is easy to see.

The Denver Broncos could go with a linebacker as early as the first round of this draft, but there is so much depth that it might be wise for them to wait. Mcgrone has a chance to be an effective three-down linebacker at the next level with his size and range.

7. Cade Johnson, WR, South Dakota State

The Broncos took three receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they can’t pass up on the 2021 class because of that. With 10 picks in this scenario, I used the fifth-round selection on South Dakota State’s Cade Johnson.

Johnson looks like a future stud out of the slot in the NFL with big-play ability, quickness, and strong hands. He can also contribute in the return game and give the Broncos a long-term answer there.

8. Joshuah Bledsoe, S, Missouri

Joshuah Bledsoe played as a starter for the majority of the past three seasons at Missouri and in the past two years, he’s been really productive. He had 16 passes defended, two forced fumbles, and 90 total tackles (6.5 for loss) in the past two seasons for the Tigers.

This team needs to continue to add depth in the defensive backfield.

9. Alaric Jackson, OL, Iowa

Jackson showed well as a tackle at Iowa, but many think he projects well to the interior offensive line in the NFL.

For the Broncos, he could potentially take over for free agent Elijah Wilkinson, who has started some for the team at both guard and tackle.

10. Mustafa Johnson, DL, Colorado

A local product who decided to leave school early in 2021, Mustafa Johnson has a chance to be a steal if he lasts this long in the draft.

In three seasons at CU, Johnson racked up 26 tackles for loss and 15 sacks. That kind of productivity makes him a very intriguing late-round flyer.
