Denver Broncos: Post-Senior Bowl 7-round 2021 mock draft
Denver Broncos 2021 mock draft
The Broncos’ running back situation is one to monitor in the 2021 offseason.
Phillip Lindsay is a restricted free agent and 2020 free agent signee Melvin Gordon has to go to court to settle a DUI issue from the 2020 season.
There is a chance neither will be back for 2021, though there’s also probably a better chance both will be back for at least one more year.
Even with that being the case, the Broncos’ running back of the future is not likely on the roster right now and Javonte Williams is exactly the type of back this team needs. He is a three-down player with such a fun blend of quickness, power, vision, tackle-breaking ability, and pass-catching ability.
Another undersized defensive back, Molden reminds somewhat of Tyrann Mathieu in terms of his confidence, aggressiveness, and versatility to play safety or slot corner at the next level.
The Denver Broncos transitioned Kareem Jackson to safety full-time in the Vic Fangio defense, and I think they could do something similar with a player like Molden.
This guy is a true weapon for the defense who has a nose for the football. He feels the game so well and you can just tell by watching him how well he prepares for opponents.
If he’s sitting there in round three for the Denver Broncos as he was in this simulation, he would be a tremendous pick.
