2021 NFL Draft Cleveland Browns mock draft: Round 3

53. Oklahoma State. 90. player. Scouting Report. College Stats. CB. Rodarius Williams

After losing Denzel Ward’s partner-in-crime Greedy Williams to injury, the depth of the Browns secondary was brought into question and is yet another item on the agenda to be addressed in the 2021 NFL draft.

Unable to make a move for one of the top cornerbacks of the draft in an effort to create a pair of shutdown personnel, the Cleveland Browns can still find a potential number two in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft.

After a collegiate career that was more impressive on tape than on the stat sheet, Oklahoma State corner Rodarius Williams is a fluid off-man corner with impressive instincts.

With a great understanding of offensive-timing, Williams shows no fear of stepping to the front of the route after successfully trailing his man to make a play on the ball.

Although his ball skills are seemingly lacking with his statistical production, it’s a very fixable problem for a Brown’s coaching staff seeking turnover-manufacturers in their defensive secondary.

After losing top wideout Obell Beckham Jr. to a torn ACL midway through the regular season, the depth of the Brown’s receiving unit was tested and proved to be efficient in the wake of their lost leader.

With trade rumors swirling and Baker Mayfield proving to be capable of elevating his targets, saving valuable cap space with a move and bringing in a dynamic rookie could offer further personnel options to the Browns this offseason.

Posting an impressive set of Senior Bowl practices, Houston wide receiver Marquez Stevenson has proven to be one of the prominent speed-threats of the 2021 NFL draft with his 4.4 speed and ability to translate that athleticism into separation.

Some concentration-based drops have kept him out of consideration for a better draft slot, but such deadly speed in an otherwise conventional Brown’s passing attack would be a welcome addition.
