Washington Football Team 2021 offseason needs

Wide receiver

Terry McLaurin has the makings of a great NFL player, but behind him, there are too many question marks at the position. Thankfully for the Washington Football Team, if you are in need of a wideout, this is the year for you.

With top-flight receivers such as Kenny Golladay, Allen Robinson, Chris Godwin, and even Juju Smith-Schuster hitting free agency and a draft class filled with talent that could compete with last season’s amazing class, the team could easily fill this hole.

With McLaurin, Logan Thomas, Antonio Gibson, and JD McKissic on the roster, the team is seemingly a new quarterback and wideout combo away from having the offensive talent necessary to make an appearance back in the playoffs.

Interior offensive line

This list is made to consider the holes the team must answer going into free agency. With that being said, the team currently does not have pro-bowl guard Brandon Scherff under contract.

This situation could go one of two ways. The team makes a massive push to bring back Scherff, or another team does.

Scherff is one of the best guards in the entire league and will be paid like it by the WFT or by another team. With that in mind, the team should do everything in its power to bring him back, even if it means franchise tagging him once again.

If the team does decide to let Scherff walk, there are various options the team can explore in a shockingly deep IOL draft.
