Scouting Report. Tyson Campbell. 1. player. Georgia. 49. Pick Analysis. Cornerback

The Green Bay Packers definitely have improved as a pass defense since LaFleur took over. Their draft picks have had a lot of success in recent years and have developed into playmakers on this defense. Jaire Alexander is an elite level corner, and his two picks in the NFC Championship, along with his 0.0 passer rating allowed in the playoffs, prove that. Darnell Savage has become a good starter, and Amos was a very good signing in free agency in 2019.

The issues exist elsewhere. As much as King would be a discount sign for the 2021 season, he isn’t the answer on the perimeter. It doesn’t feel like their answer is on the roster at all, so the 2021 NFL Draft could see an influx of talent at the corner position.

Here in this mock, the Green Bay Packers go corner in the first round. The Georgia Bulldogs have a very good duo of corners entering the draft, and the Packers go with the faster of the two here in Tyson Campbell. Campbell has rare speed for the position and does a good job flipping his hips to stick with receivers vertically. Campbell normally plays the defender rather than the ball, but that shouldn’t detract from his game. He’d be a great addition to the secondary opposite Alexander.
