Another season for the Green Bay Packers has come and gone, and once again, the Packers fall short of the ultimate goal. After obtaining the one seed in the NFC, everything seemed to in place for a Super Bowl run. Alas, Green Bay didn’t get it done, losing 31-26 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Packers trailed early, and couldn’t seem to get a foothold in the first half. Giving up a long touchdown on the last real play of the half hurt, and after a turnover early in the third quarter, they were down 28-10.

The Packers did rally, making things interesting after an interception by Adrian Amos. The defense forced two more turnovers after cutting the lead to 28-23, but the Packers couldn’t capitalize. A final drive ended short with a field goal, and they didn’t get the ball back again.

Two great seasons under head coach Matt LaFleur have led to NFC title games, but no Super Bowl appearances. Unfortunately for the Packers, the team may look a little different in 2021. Both Corey Linsley and Aaron Jones are free agents, and if the team pursues either, veterans may have to be cut. Even for guys like Jamaal Williams and Kevin King, they be moving on as well.

Aaron Rodgers was candid in his press conference, saying that many players’ futures were uncertain for 2021, including his own. This doesn’t mean this year is his last, but Jordan Love won’t be waiting as a backup forever.

The 2021 season may be the last one for the Packers to make a run at the Super Bowl, so it’s time to go all in. Let’s get the Packers there with this 2021 mock draft.
