4. Draft a tackle late

Like we said before, the 2021 NFL Draft is rich with talent at offensive tackle, and the Indianapolis Colts could take advantage of that, address other positions early on, and find a tackle they like later.

Once again, the Senior Bowl could be a good indicator of who they could select. The Iowa Hawkeyes have a great track record with offensive linemen and Alaric Jackson could be someone they target later in the 2021 draft. He has the size and power to develop into a starter in the NFL. Cincinnati’s James Hudson is another to watch throughout the week of practices in Mobile.

BYU’s Brady Christensen is another who should be getting more hype. He’s got strong hands, good grip, a good initial strike, and sufficient quickness to frame rushers. Once he latches on, it’s over for rushers. We know that Ballard doesn’t shy away from drafting small school prospects as well, and Tommy Doyle out of Miami of Ohio is an intriguing prospect later on in the draft.

However the Indianapolis Colts address the tackle position, it’s one of the most important positions in football, and with a plethora of options, Ballard, Reich, and their staff will have things figured out when the 2021 season rolls around.
