2021 NFL Draft: Five QBs fly off of the board in first-round mock draft
The Chargers need to protect their first-round quarterback Justin Herbert from the 2020 NFL Draft and select the best interior lineman that’s available this year. He played at left tackle last season but played at guard before last season.
He is versatile but I believe is best suited to play at the guard position and is a major upgrade for the Chargers. Vera-Tucker will come in and compete with starting left guard Forrest Lamp during training camp.
Earlier on Micah Parsons had the chance to be a top-five pick or at least in the top ten. Though in this mock draft he falls to fourteenth unless someone makes a trade to move up. I can see the Dolphins being one of those possible teams.
I believe he is one of the best linebackers in this draft class and fits well with the Vikings.
The Vikings defense can use another stud linebacker alongside Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks as well.
If Parsons goes earlier in the 2021 NFL Draft I can see the Vikings continuing to build their offensive line as well.
The New York Giants trade back and gain draft capital and still land the player I would have had them select four spots earlier. It’s really a win-win scenario for the Giants as they need a true number one receiver since they traded away Odell Beckham Jr.
Adding a weapon for Daniel Jones should help him in his passing game as the Giants would have solid depth behind Waddle if they land him with Golden Tate, Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton already on the roster.
Waddle was expected to be one of the best receiver prospects in this draft class but an injury-riddled season sees him fall as the third wideout taken in this mock draft.
It’s almost unfair that the Arizona Cardinals land another weapon for Kyler Murray after they landed DeAndre Hopkins less than a year ago from the Houston Texans. Kyle Pitts is the best tight end prospect this season and he reminds me of Travis Kelce.
Pitts has the ability to line up like a wideout as he has the speed to give cornerbacks nightmares on game days. He would help the air raid offense that Kliff Kingsbury is trying to create in Arizona.
Another player to watch is Najee Harris from Alabama or Travis Etienne from Clemson because those two players would also fit the mold in Kingsbury’s offense.
