Miami Dolphins Senior Bowl targets: Hamilcar Rashed Jr, OLB, Oregon State

While the Miami Dolphins draft will likely be offensive heavy, a pass rusher like Oregon State’s Hamilcar Rashed Jr. could make sense on day three.

In 2019, Rashed led the nation in tackles for loss with 22 and also finished third in the country with 14 sacks. Unfortunately, he took a major step back this year as he only accounted for two tackles for loss and zero sacks.

One area Miami will greatly benefit from Rashed is that they will be coaching his team at the game. This is even a bigger advantage with this player as the knock with Rashed is that he didn’t play hard and seemed disinterested on the field at times last season.

The fact the team will get to meet with him daily and get to see how he carries himself on or off the field will allow them to get a feel for his character. If they like what they see they will likely consider him a prime target in the 2021 NFL Draft on day three, or they will decide to cross him off their board.

If the team does decide to take him he would likely add depth to a linebacker crop that needs it. He also would be able to be a valuable pass rusher for the team, especially if he plays anything close to his 2019 film.
