Scouting Report. player. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. South Carolina. Jaycee Horn. 16. 32

Jaycee Horn, to many, really isn’t too far off from the top two cornerbacks in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is a fiery and physical corner with NFL bloodlines (son of former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Horn).

Horn excels in press-man coverage where he can use his size and strength to disrupt receivers routes. He stays glued to his man throughout the route and is particularly physical at the catch point. If Horn is able to stay close to the receiver, it is nearly impossible to get the ball completed against him.

You can tell that Horn is a very passionate player who displays his swagger game in and game out. He is a guy that will love to take on the challenge of the opponent’s best receiver all game long with hopes of getting in his head and shutting him down.

While he may struggle a bit in off-man and zone coverage, if you play to his strengths, Jaycee Horn can become a true lockdown corner in the NFL. With Patrick Peterson getting up there in age and set to become a free agent this offseason, the Arizona Cardinals could use a player like Horn.

Horn brings fiery competitiveness that any NFL team should value. And his playing ability backs up his talk and his confidence. In arguably the most challenging division in football, the Cardinals will need to try to keep opposing offensive weapons at bay if they want a chance at the playoffs in 2021.
