Shakur Brown, CB, Michigan State

One of the biggest risers in the Big Ten when it comes to 2021 NFL Draft stock is Michigan State cornerback Shakur Brown. Brown had an up and down season in 2019 as he missed six games due to injury but was able to earn a starting role at the end of the year. However, his 2020 season was one of the best in the nation as the junior was named second-team All-American Honors by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

What really stood out with Brown this year was his excellent ball skills. He finished second in the Big Ten this year with five interceptions and also had four pass breakups. The main reason he was able to be such a playmaker was his fundamentally sound play, as he is one of the most refined corners in the draft. Another positive with him is he is not afraid to stick to support the run.

When it comes to where he will go in the draft a lot will depend on how he tests. While I do like his overall skill set, he is not the most athletic cornerback in the draft, which will push him down the 2021 NFL Draft board.
