2021 NFL Draft: 49ers make aggressive move for QB in 3-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 22nd overall
The Tennesse Titans are always a difficult team to make predictions for in mock drafts. Tennessee is always a bit of a wildcard who is not afraid to reach a bit on a prospect with some issues or take a shot on a player who does not necessarily fill a massive need. That being said, the Titans’ defense struggled in a big way this season and they need to work to address that side of the ball over the offseason.
With their first pick of this mock draft, the Titans make a significant defensive addition by adding Georgia edge rusher Azeez Ojulari to the mix. Ojulari is an exciting edge prospect who flies out of his stance with an explosive first step. He consistently wins with incredible bend around the edge and closes on the quarterback in an instant once he finds a path.
Ojulari is arguably the best speed rusher on the edge in the 2021 NFL Draft draft class and he undoubtedly has exciting upside at the next level because of this. That being said, do not sleep on the power in Ojulari’s game and his ability to make plays against the run.
He consistently sets a strong edge and does a great job of using his hands to keep opposing offensive linemen away from his body. Ojulari can hold his own at the point of attack, read the play and react to what the ball carrier is doing. He also shows the ability to knife through the line of scrimmage and attack stop the ball carrier for a loss.
Simply put, Ojulari is an impact defender who has exciting upside at an important position of need for the Titans. He stands out as a strong value pick and an obvious target for the team in this range.
