2021 NFL Draft: 49ers make aggressive move for QB in 3-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft: Round 1, 17th overall
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is a converted safety prospect who undoubtedly has exciting upside at the next level. He shows tremendous speed and athleticism at the linebacker position, ranging all around the field making plays against the run and in coverage.
Owusu-Koramoah shines in space, showing explosive athleticism at all times. He covers a ton of space on the field and is dynamic against the pass. Owusu-Koramoah is a tremendous natural coverage player who can handle most opposing receivers in man coverage and has a knack for making plays when asked to play zone.
The Las Vegas Raiders have had a major need at the linebacker position for a while now. While Owusu-Koramoah is not your traditional stack linebacker who fills holes takes on blocks head-on, his speed and athleticism make him an exciting weapon on the defensive side of the ball.
Owusu-Koramoah is a perfect fit for the modern NFL because a majority of his value comes against the passing opposing passing attack. His ability to range around the field and make plays in space is special and makes him an extremely valuable weapon on the defensive side of the ball.
The Raiders love to target impact players who come from major college programs and Owusu-Koramoah coming from Notre Dame certainly fits the bill. Bringing him into the mix and making him a jack-of-all-trades on the defensive side of the ball would be a successful plan of attack for Las Vegas.
