Seattle Seahawks 2021 mock draft: Round 7, Pick 228

This late in the draft all you can hope for is depth and maybe a diamond in the rough. For the Seattle Seahawks, they still need to address depth on their defensive line, and the addition of a player with versatility this late will fit the bill well enough. At 6-foot-3, 286 Carlo Kemp can play pretty much anywhere on the defensive line in Seattle.

At Michigan, Kemp played 32 games for the Wolverines and was able to put up steady numbers, he just didn’t have a ton of opportunities. Over those 32 games he totaled just 83 tackles along with 10.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. However, he was named to the Third Team All-Big Ten following the 2019 season as well as being a two-time captain for Michigan and the team’s Most Improved Player in 2018.

The progression throughout his time at Michigan paired with his leadership skills to be a two-time captain is an intriguing combination. Those could provide the perfect tools for Kemp to grow and succeed in Seattle.

He also rounds out the 2021 NFL Draft class for the Seattle Seahawks, making for four picks with high upside, despite not having a first-round pick.
