Which 2021 NFL Draft prospects saw their stock rise in the National Championship Game?

The 2021 National Championship brought familiarity back to what was a tumultuous and different year. The Alabama Crimson Tide once again raised the trophy, their third in the Playoff Era and sixth under head coach Nick Saban. In the game itself, multiple potential first-round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft got to showcase their skills one last time.

DeVonta Smith rightfully grabbed the early headline, catching 12 passes for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the first half. Unfortunately, a hand injury ended his night early in the second half, but the dream season for Smith continued on Monday night and helped Alabama win the title.

Najee Harris looked excellent as well and continues to be the toughest running back to bring down in the country. His contact balance, quick feet, and quick processing make him the complete package. Not to mention, Harris is an effective pass catcher. He’s in a tough race for the “RB1” crown in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Mac Jones also looked dominant on championship night, throwing for 464 yards and five touchdowns. His pocket presence is impressive, and he’s constantly keeping his eyes downfield while maneuvering around pressure.

Justin Fields has had better outings, but his arm talent and ability to extend plays is impressive. His toughness is underrated and he battles to the end. Once his processing upticks a little, he will be a very good quarterback at the next level.

We touched on the top names, but who really elevated their stock a good deal following the title game? Let’s dive in to four players who have consistently raised their stock this season, culminating in the championship game.
