3. Cornerback

Besides lockdown cornerback James Bradberry and Darnay Holmes, the New York Giants don’t have a ton of contributors at the cornerback position. Isaac Yiadom was the starter for most of the season but was benched for safety Julian Love. Love played solid at the position and played there in college, but it is unclear how the Giants view him going forward.

The Giants may not have a ton of cornerbacks, but they love to play their safeties in the nickel position. On top of Holmes, Logan Ryan and Xavier McKinney also line up as a slot corner from time to time. The Giants just need a couple of outside corners to really solidify the secondary.

Jason McCourty is set to be a free agent. The veteran corner may make perfect sense for the Giants. He comes from New England and should be plenty familiar with Giants head coach Joe Judge. He’s getting up there in age at 34, but appeared in all 16 games for the Pats this season.

dark. Next. First-round 2021 NFL mock draft

If the New York Giants are looking for younger options, there are still plenty of options in the 2021 NFL Draft. Patrick Surtain from Alabama could be an option at No. 11 for the Giants. Before Judge was a member of the Patriots, he was at Alabama on Nick Saban’s coaching staff. The familiarity between the two could help the Giants land Surtain.
