Top 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch in the National Championship Game matchup between Alabama and Ohio State.

There will be a ridiculous amount of talent on the field Monday night when Alabama and Ohio State face off in the National Championship Game. These two teams are loaded with impact players on both sides of the ball, including many top-tier 2021 NFL Draft prospects.

While one game is not going to change everything, these Alabama and Ohio State players have a chance to boost their 2021 NFL Draft stocks on a massive stage. They can earn themselves some big money with a strong performance in this game.

In this post, we are going to take a look at the top 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch in this game. It is important to keep in mind that this list is not necessarily the best 2021 NFL Draft prospects on Alabama and Ohio State. We are looking at specific matchups and keeping an eye on prospects who need a big game or have a significant opportunity to boost their 2021 NFL Draft stock in this matchup.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the 2021 NFL Draft prospects who we need to be keeping the closest eye on in this National Championship Gae between Alabama and Ohio State.

Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

A fantastic performance against Clemson appears to have put Justin Fields back in the driver’s seat for QB2 in the 2021 NFL Draft class. Nobody is catching Trevor Lawrence but the race for QB2 between Fields, Zach Wilson and Trey Lance appears to be at least relatively close.

Fields struggled down the stretch this season but he was able to impress in a big way in the semi-final game against Clemson. If he plays well and can lead this Ohio State team to a National Championship victory over Alabama, Fields likely locks himself in as the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, another poor performance will allow his doubters to get loud again.

Fields does not have much to gain in this game but he does have a lot to lose. He needs a strong performance against Alabama in order to cement himself as the QB2 in the class.
