2021 NFL Draft: Alabama, Ohio State load up two-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 22nd pick
The Indianapolis Colts are going to be a fun team to focus on in the 2021 offseason with what could wind up happening at their quarterback position.
Will Philip Rivers retire after this year? Will he give the Colts one more go-round after a successful 2020 campaign for the team?
The Colts are widely considered the likeliest landing spot for Carson Wentz in a trade if the Eagles get rid of him, and that could certainly involve this pick.
If the Colts and Eagles don’t make a trade for Wentz or they make one that doesn’t include this pick, Indianapolis could go a number of directions. They were aggressive with their pick in 2020, trading it for defensive lineman DeForest Buckner.
One area they could look at is the cornerback position where Xavier Rhodes has been a nice free agent flyer this season.
They could look for some youth at corner and at this stage of round one, Georgia’s breakthrough junior Eric Stokes could be a nice value. Stokes picked off four passes in 2020 for the Bulldogs and increased his career pass breakup total to 22.
