2021 NFL Draft: Alabama, Ohio State load up two-round mock draft
2021 NFL Draft 1st round: 16th pick
The Arizona Cardinals definitely have a plethora of weapons on the offensive side of the football to get involved.
What’s one more?
Larry Fitzgerald might not be back for the 2021 season and the Cardinals, although they don’t employ a tight end traditionally like other teams do, could really use some more secondary targets behind DeAndre Hopkins in the passing game.
With Hopkins drawing so much attention, a player who feasts on one-on-one coverage like Kyle Pitts could be a luxury the Cardinals can’t afford to pass on.
Pitts is a dynamic athlete whose ability to play in line, in the slot, split out wide — really anywhere you ask him to play — will make him an instant impact player at the next level.
Having Hopkins to take attention off of him is a huge added bonus, but the Cardinals’ desire to push the ball vertically would be much more efficient, especially over the middle of the field, with Pitts in the fold.
Dan Arnold had a respectable season for the Cardinals averaging over 14 yards per reception, but Pitts is a game-changer.
