The San Francisco 49ers traded defensive lineman DeForest Buckner in 2020 for a first-round pick from the Indianapolis Colts.
They replaced Buckner on the defensive front with South Carolina defensive lineman Javon Kinlaw.
Could they look at drafting Kinlaw’s former South Carolina teammate in the 2021 NFL Draft?
It might just be a perfect fit.
The 49ers will need an influx of youth in the defensive backfield anyway, and Horn’s style of play could be perfect for what the 49ers’ truly tremendous defensive front provides on their end.
Horn attacks the football in the air with an aggressive mentality and he takes no prisoners in the run game as well.
At his size, Horn more closely resembles a rocked-up safety but he has the quickness of a smaller cornerback.
With Nick Bosa back in 2021 and hopefully fully healthy, the 49ers’ defensive front will be causing havoc and there will be opportunities on the back end to cash in. Jaycee Horn might be the ideal guy to fall to them with their top pick if they are going defense.
