Pick 13 – Los Angeles Chargers

OT. Virginia Tech. 13. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 13. Christian Darrisaw. player

It seems like every year we talk about the Los Angeles Chargers needing an offensive lineman, usually an offensive tackle, and the 2021 NFL Draft will be no different. Currently, the Chargers have Trey Pipkins and Bryan Bulaga as their tackles and both could be upgraded. With Justin Herbert looking like a franchise quarterback, it will be a priority to protect him.

Outside of Penei Sewell, the offensive tackles of the draft get a little hazy for rankings. One name that seems to be emerging from the masses is Christian Darrisaw from Virginia Tech. Darrisaw has a ton of experience, starting games at left tackle since his freshman year.

Pick 14 – Minnesota Vikings

OG. Ohio State. 14. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wyatt Davis. player. 60

Like the Chargers, the Minnesota Vikings always seem to be in the need of an offensive lineman. Garrett Bradbury from the 2019 NFL Draft was selected in the first round and has settled in at right guard. In the 2020 NFL Draft, they then took Ezra Cleveland in the second round. Now looking to the 2021 NFL Draft, they could take another to solidify the interior of their offensive line.

Wyatt Davis has been the anchor on the Ohio State offensive line for a few seasons now. He was named an All-American following the 2019 season and that carried into a preseason All-American for 2020. He’s been a key part of the success of the Ohio State running game which should translate well to blocking for Dalvin Cook.
