With Trevor Lawrence on the horizon, let’s take a look at some 2021 NFL Draft prospects that the Jacksonville Jaguars should look to pair him with.

After locking up the first pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars will have their sights set on the ultimate prize in Trevor Lawrence. The Clemson signal-caller has been projected to be a top selection since he stepped on campus in Death Valley and yet somehow he has still exceeded expectations.

He is the most hyped quarterback that the Jaguars have ever had an opportunity to draft and barring the most shocking swerve in NFL draft history, it seems like a forgone conclusion that he will be in Jacksonville.

This is a huge opportunity for the team to finally put an end to their long history of losing so they will need to do everything in their power to ensure they set Lawrence up for success, and that starts with the picks that proceed him in the 2021 NFL Draft.

I can’t stop thinking about the potential of an offense lead by Trevor Lawrence that features D.J. Chark, Laviska Shenault Jr., James Robinson, and Kyle Pitts. If there is any player the Jaguars should look to trade up for in the 2021 NFL Draft, it’s Pitts. The Jags have been accumulating a ton of draft capital over the last couple of seasons so they certainly have plenty to offer teams looking to move back in the first round.

Pitts is the most hyped tight end prospect in years as he perfectly fits the mold of the elites at the position around the league. He moves like a wide receiver and although he needs work as a blocker, he has shown a willingness to mix it up which is encouraging for his development in that area.

Getting Lawrence a guy with Pitts’ skillset would be huge, especially considering the state of the position at the moment for the Jaguars. To make this happen, they would likely need to move up 10 spots or so from where they’re currently projected but they have plenty to offer to make it happen.
