Despite the New York Jets investing heavily in their offensive line, the results haven’t been favorable outside of rookie Mekhi Becton. Getting help in other spots will be important if they decided to keep Sam Darnold, like in this scenario.

Alabama offensive lineman Landon Dickerson brings experience at both guard and center and was the leader on the Crimson Tide offensive line all season long. He, unfortunately, suffered an injury in the SEC Championship Game, and while it’s worth monitoring, it shouldn’t be too hard on his stock. His toughness and ability to reset the line will be coveted come draft time.

It takes more than one pick to fix the edge for the New York Jets. Penn State edge rusher Shaka Toney has excellent athleticism and played very well in 2020, logging 7.5 tackles for loss and five sacks in just eight games. He converts speed to power very well and can win around the arc. His violent hand usage will be a plus for him at the next level.

Scouting Report. Pittsburgh. 4. 866. Pick Analysis. Safety. Paris Ford. player

The safety class in the 2021 NFL Draft looks bleak, but the Jets have a need at the position. Testing will be important for most everyone in the draft process, so it’s hard to peg when they come off the board four months out.

Paris Ford fits well in this defense if the Jets keep Marcus Maye. While Maye operates in single high and two deep looks, Ford is better suited to operate near the line of scrimmage in man coverage and in run support. His closing speed and physicality shine in that area.
