Jacksonville Jaguars 7-round 2021 NFL mock draft: Lawrence locked up
Round 5, 152 Overall
James Robinson has been one of the best stories of the 2020 NFL season and he will look to build off of his impressive rookie campaign behind Trevor Lawrence in 2021. One thing that will help him take the next step is taking some of the workload off of him so he can sustain his level of play until the final game of the season.
That is why I have the Jaguars taking Louisville’s Javian Hawkins with their second fifth-round pick of this 2021 NFL mock draft. Hawkins is a big play waiting to happen as he shows elite speed and acceleration when the ball is in his hands. He wasn’t asked to produce in the passing game very often but he did do well with his opportunities, making him a potential third-down back option in Jacksonville.
Round 7, 193rd Overall
Outside of having one of the best names in football, Whop Philyor has been one of the most productive slot receivers in the country over the past couple of seasons. With Dede Westbrook likely on his way out of Jacksonville, Philyor would be a nice player to bring in to compete for that open spot.
Round 7, 219th Overall
It is certainly possible that Josh Jobe gets drafted higher than this position strictly because he started at Alabama but he has had some games where he really struggled in 2020. However, he has legit physical tools and some moldable traits that could make him a developmental option late.
This is a quality addition to close out this 2021 NFL mock draft for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
