2021 NFL Draft: Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson lead trade-filled mock draft
2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 7th pick
The Philadelphia Eagles are in such a weird spot right now.
Is Carson Wentz going to be on the move? More on that later…
What is going to happen to a number of the expensive veterans on this roster?
There are a lot of questions to be answered for the Eagles heading into the 2021 offseason, but if the Eagles have a chance at Ja’Marr Chase, they would probably jump at the chance to pair him up with Jalen Reagor as the team’s top receiver duo of the future.
Reagor is a big-time speed guy while Chase wins in a variety of ways. He is both a big-play receiver and possession type, capable of dominating at the catch point and winning physically against any type of cornerback at the line.
Even with a high volume of catches and targets in 2019, LSU’s historic offensive campaign, Chase was able to average more than 21 yards per reception. This speaks to his ability to physically dominate and the fact that there’s not really one particular way to shut him down.
Although they are different physical profiles, Ja’Marr Chase and De’Vonta Smith are both really strong WR1 types of players who don’t necessarily “look” the part.
Chase is almost built like a running back and is somewhat reminiscent of DJ Moore right now for the Carolina Panthers in the open field.
