2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 30th pick

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. RB. Alabama. Najee Harris. 30. player. 16

For the majority of the mock drafts that I have made, the Buffalo Bills have been an “insert cornerback prospect here” slot.

It would make plenty of sense for the Bills to go after a corner in this draft class to pair with Tre’Davious White, but the possibility of adding a player like Najee Harris is something that could be quite fun if the Bills feel like having a back with his skills is a fit for their philosophy offensively.

Brian Daboll is a hot head coach candidate in the 2021 circuit, but let’s say for the time being that he ends up staying in Buffalo. Daboll was the co-offensive coordinator at Alabama under Nick Saban in the 2017 season when Najee Harris was a freshman for the Crimson Tide.

Even though Alabama’s backfield is always stacked, Harris found his way onto the field for 67 total touches that year with three touchdowns. He has experience working with Daboll and at least for the time being, the Bills are a committee at running back between Devin Singletary and Zack Moss.

There’s nothing wrong with either one of those guys, but Najee Harris is pretty special and would help take this already talented Bills offense to another level.

Harris is a true bell cow type of running back who is exceptional as a receiver out of the backfield. He could fit right in and help the Bills challenge the Chiefs annually for the AFC crown.
