2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 24th pick

Pick Analysis. EDGE. Georgia. Scouting Report. Azeez Ojulari. 24. player. 53

The Cleveland Browns, sitting at 10-4 at the time of this writing, seem to have finally turned the proverbial corner under head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Stefanski and his staff have the Browns — even without Odell Beckham Jr. — in contention in the AFC. The Browns have been pretty balanced all year offensively and defensively and they have an absolute superstar off the edge in Myles Garrett.

Shockingly, Garrett is still just 25 years old.

With Garrett producing at such a high level despite being the focus of opposing teams, the Browns would be wise to take a shot on an upside pass rusher in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In this particular draft, there may not be a better upside shot than Azeez Ojulari, a breakout player at Georgia.

Ojulari certainly flashed for the Bulldogs in 2019 but he’s been a force in 2020 with 27 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles in nine games.

The Browns thought they were getting a dynamic duo when they brought in Olivier Vernon, but at this point, it’s clear that Vernon is just a solid player off the edge and not a true dynamic threat. Ojulari has traits of being a dynamic threat off the edge who could help Myles Garrett get more one-on-one matchups, a win for the Browns’ defense anytime that can happen.
