2021 NFL Draft: Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson lead trade-filled mock draft
2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 22nd pick
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in “win now” mode.
The move to sign Tom Brady in the 2020 offseason shifted any moves this team made from looking ahead to looking at what’s right in front of them.
The Bucs have, to no one’s surprise, become a legitimate contender in the NFC this season with Brady at the helm. Even though Brady’s style of play hasn’t meshed perfectly with Bruce Arians’ offense each week, the Bucs are an explosive unit on offense and a very physical and fast group on defense.
Coordinator Todd Bowles has put together a tremendous outfit in Tampa Bay and should get looks as a head coach candidate in 2021.
Even if Bowles is out, the Bucs have enough talent to run it back in 2021 and have success, but they need some help off the edge.
Texas EDGE Joseph Ossai has been one of the most consistent at his craft in college football, racking up 29 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks in his last 22 games along with four forced fumbles.
Ossai is a versatile linebacker prospect who can play both off-ball and off the edge. He gives a defensive coordinator flexibility on all three downs and is a player whose motor never slows down.
