2021 NFL Draft 1st round, 13th pick

Pick Analysis. 13. player. 45. Scouting Report. CB. South Carolina. Jaycee Horn

The Denver Broncos have been snake-bitten by injuries in 2020 more than almost any other team in the NFL. The 49ers probably take the cake there, but the Broncos are a close second.

One of the areas this team has been particularly decimated all year is defensively.

With just a couple of games to play, the Broncos are down three of their top four cornerbacks and they have predictably struggled to defend the pass in recent weeks.

AJ Bouye was acquired via trade in 2020 and only played seven games for the Broncos in 2020, struggling with injuries before getting popped for six games with a PED violation. Two of those games will linger into 2021.

Bryce Callahan has struggled with a foot injury for three straight seasons, and the Broncos are young behind those guys.

Jaycee Horn is a fast, strong, aggressive cornerback prospect who could thrive in Vic Fangio’s defense.

Fangio requires physicality out of his defensive backs and he would get it out of Jaycee Horn, who could replace the veteran Bouye in the lineup with Michael Ojemudia on the outside and Bryce Callahan playing his traditional role in the slot.
