BYU QB Zach Wilson looks to finish strong in Boca Raton Bowl vs. UCF

Can Zach Wilson finish strong and boost his 2021 NFL Draft stock in his final college game?

BYU quarterback Zach Wilson has absolutely flown up 2021 NFL Draft boards this season and has put himself in a position to be a possible top-three pick next April. Through 11 games, Wilson has completed 73.1% of his passes for 3,274 yards, 30 touchdowns and only three interceptions. Zach Wilson also piled on eight rushing touchdowns for good measure.

You can knock him for playing against a lower level of competition if you want, but Wilson has simply been one of the best players in college football this season. He has a real NFL skill-set and needs to be taken seriously as a premier quarterback prospect in the upcoming class.

Wilson is a tremendous natural playmaker with the ball in his hands, showing fantastic mobility in and out of the pocket. Wilson also fires the ball with plenty of zip and throws an extremely accurate deep ball. He is also a fantastic improviser whose ability to create when the play breaks down makes him an ideal fit for the modern NFL.

Zach Wilson can be QB2

Simply put, Zach Wilson is a fantastic quarterback prospect who undoubtedly has a bright future at the next level. He is never going to topple Trevor Lawrence as the top quarterback in the class, but Wilson should be on the radar as soon as No. 2 overall.

The BYU star quarterback will play in his final collegiate game on Tuesday, as Wilson and the 16th-ranked Cougars will take on the UCF Knights in the Boca Raton Bowl. BYU stands out as obvious favorites in this game and it is unlikely that Wilson can do much of anything to actually improve his 2021 NFL Draft stock.

That being said, it would sure be fun to see Wilson come out and dominate in blue and white one more time. Make sure you check this one out as Wilson is sure to put on a show in his final college game.
