Complete seven-round 2021 NFL mock draft for the San Francisco 49ers
Round 6, 190th Overall
The San Francisco 49ers love to get Kyle Shanahan as many players as possible who can create with the ball in their hands. Shanahan is fantastic at scheming players into space and letting them make explosive plays from there.
With this in mind, Demetric Felton stands out as an obvious target for this team late in the 2021 NFL Draft. Felton is an extremely quick and explosive player who is slippery in space and has the speed needed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field. He is a naturally elusive player who is difficult to bring down by a single defender.
Felton has been a playmaker at both running back and slot receiver in college and could make an impact at either position at the next level. No matter where Felton lines up, he is a big-time playmaker with the ball in his hands and the 49ers are the perfect team to make the most out of his abilities.
Round 7, 222nd Overall
We talked about the 49ers’ cornerback need earlier and do not be surprised if they spend multiple picks on the position in the 2021 NFL Draft. Ambry Thomas is a long and aggressive cornerback prospect who shines in press coverage. He also displays solid movement skills in space and undoubtedly has a chance to grow into an impact player at the next level. He is undoubtedly worthy of a late-round flyer by a cornerback-needy team.
Round 7, 233rd Overall
Adrian Ealy lacks ideal bulk for an NFL offensive lineman, but he is a long and athletic offensive tackle prospect who has exciting long-term upside in pass protection. Ealy would certainly be a bit of a project player for the 49ers, but he is worth taking a shot on this late in the draft.
