Round 2, 44th Overall

CB. Georgia. Tyson Campbell. 2. 814. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player

While they will undoubtedly be looking to bring some of their current players back, the San Francisco 49ers currently do not have a cornerback under contract after this season. This position stands out as an obvious position of need for San Fran in the 2021 NFL Draft and they will likely attack that need early. In this mock draft, landing Tyson Campbell in the second round is their big cornerback move.

Campbell is a long and smooth cornerback prospect who shows impressive natural athleticism at the position. He is tough and aggressive at the line of scrimmage and has the speed and quickness needed to recover when needed. Campbell closes on the ball quickly and shuts down the deep passing game extremely well.

Simply put, Campbell is a gifted player at an important position of need who fits the 49ers’ defense well. He an obvious choice for the team in this range.

Round 4, 113th Overall

Iowa. 4. Scouting Report. IOL. 878. Pick Analysis. Tyler Linderbaum. player

The San Francisco 49ers will have an opportunity to move on from center Weston Richburg this offseason if they wish. Richburg has been disappointing with the team and looking in another direction at the position would make sense. If the 49ers decide to cut bait with Richburg, targeting a guy like Tyler Linderbaum in the middle rounds would make a ton of sense.

Linderbaum is an extremely tough and physical offensive lineman who fires off of the ball quickly and generally dominates at the point of attack. He does a great job of maintaining proper pad level, using leverage to create a consistent advantage over the defender. He also shows good mobility up front, generally taking care of second-level defenders with ease.

Simply put, Linderbaum is a smart, tough and athletic center prospect who could provide immediate value at the next level. The 49ers have obvious needs on the interior of their offensive line and Linderbaum could be a major steal in this range.
