With his future all but set as the top selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, one of the most important pieces to consider will be how Lawrence can remold this offense into his image. Rookie Denzel Mims brings a unique athleticism to an otherwise shallow receiving unit whose best player is Jamison Crowder. Similar to Cincinnati’s efforts with Joe Burrow, I would expect New York to look to pair Lawrence with some fellow rookies in the following rounds to round-out his weaponry.

Although New York can be easily identified as the home of sadness within football, Lawrence could breathe life into this organization the same way Burrow has in Ohio. Lawrence will need to find ways to make plays with inferior surrounding talent, a very different situation from his college home.

Plain and simple, Gardner Minshew does not have enough to elevate this offensive. Despite his early promise and highlight-based attraction, Minshew is not the answer for this franchise and a pairing of first-round selections indicates a changing of the guard. Rookie running back James Robinson has been a stellar surprise for the Jaguars this season and pairing him with an athlete such as Fields can change the face of the Jacksonville offense.

The primary alternative present for Jacksonville would be Oregon tackle Penei Sewell, shoring up their currently ambiguous left tackle position. If Jacksonville were to opt for this alternative, they would likely find themselves attempting to trade up into the top-20 with their second first-round selection in an effort to find another quarterback.
